I don't know. I know the one place where Condi Rice has held to a solid theme, consistently, so it seems to me -- is her on air appearances on talk radio recently. The tone of her voice -- the inflections -- to me signal a relaxation in her. At all times in a very very difficult job like hers, and especially for her doing it so carefully, a diplomat of first rank must be on full guard in speech and appearance and speak through "facets" of understanding.

The problem with all the ceasefire talk that the Democrats don't seem to get is that very few, if any, nations are going to commit troops to a war zone. So if Hezbollah doesn't approve a ceasefire, then nothing is going to change.

You are so right...and I really thought that Tony Snow would tell President Bush that..because we talked about it a lot on his threads, when he still had his talk show.
And, NOW, with Zawahiri calling for the al-queda to help Hezbollah and other Muzzie terrorist groups...they are one big happy family...so there IS no excuse for the dems or anyone to call for anything LESS than for us to finish what we can in Iraq..

Tony and I talked about that issue via freepmail a few times and he understood how important it was to get that message out and stop letting the democrats lie about it.
But it looks like that is one issue he hasn't been able to get the president to re-visit.
