He hit a tree with a VW Beetle..
Lost control on a washboard road..
He was thrown from the car into a swamp
He cracked his sternum, ruptured his spleen, and broke his hip..
He very nearly did not make it..I am sorry I did not post to you before now..

Ask his Doc to put him om Avelox...
It will nip it in the bud..
maybe an inhaler too..

Hi, that's okay about not posting sooner, I'm new here at the Canteen.
Thank God your husband survived his car accident. I've never broken a bone (knocking on wood), can't imagine the pain. They instantly gave my husband morphine, which I questioned. I only knew it as what they gave my father when he was near death, so I was worried for a moment with my husband getting it.
Thanks about the avelox, have to mention it to the doctor. We are smokers so that's definitely not helping. We cut down, but are so dedicated to smoking(sarc), it could be hindering our recovery (ya think?). Have been planning to quit seriously since our 1st grandchild was born in Feb., but smoking is winning the battle so far. My husband stopped for 2 days when he first got his cold, but slowly went back. Probably sounds really stupid after all my complaining of being sick!
