Well, it's still hot outside, but I've got the A/C cranked up, so, overall I'd say...pretty good! :)

This Jeep fire truck is identified by the Barton type U-40 fire pump, and it also has the word Jeep on a brass plaque on both sides of the hood and one on the windshield. As you can see The American-Marsh Fire Jeep draped the suction hose down the sides of the apparatus. You can also tell this jeep because because it has the small 5" military headlights and not the large 6" headlights that is found on the civilian CJ2A's. Also, the tools (axe and shovel) are on the passenger side and not the driver side like all the rest of the CJ-2A's from 1945 to 49.

I'm really doing well & thank you for asking. Installed a new A/C for the office today. The old one just couldn't handle the load anymore. Looking forward to it's cooling powers tomorrow! LOL

When I'm called to duty god
wherever flames may rage
give me strength to save a life
whatever be its age

Help me to embrace a little child
before it is too late
or save an older person from
the horror of that fate

Enable me to be alert
to hear the weakest shout
and quickly and efficiently
to put the fire out

I want to fill my calling and
to give the best in me
to guard my neighbour and
protect his property

And if according to your will
I have to lose my life
bless with your protecting hand
my children and my wife

Wonderful thread honoring firefighters! My husband is a 13 year Volunteer Firefighter, Hardyston Twp. Volunteer Fire Department, in New Jersey. He's the engineer with his company. They lost a former Chief last February in the line of duty.
