Thanks for the welcome and no lecture! My daughter is my lecturer and conscience. She thinks it should be easy, 'just stop buying them!' Our son, who smokes himself, walks around telling us we are dead. His way of getting right to the point. So we are lectured plenty!

Cigarettes cost a fortune here, NJ, so along with the obvious reasons we are determined to stop soon. I turn 50 in November, that is my cut off date in my mind.

I answered the phone, from a dead sleep, at 5a something...it was my brother in Texas and he said."Turn on the tv". What channel said I..."Doesn't matter", and he hung up. We won't forget.

Our channel 7, ABC, was out here, it transmitted from one of the towers. I saved all the newspapers from back then and my husband has a few books about it all. 'Above Hallowed Ground' for one, he was just looking at it last night as a matter of fact.
