I would like to know why Murtha himself questions his medals from Vietnam:
Murtha, Maxwell, Kerry. "What the Flock"? Sh*birds of a feather, flocking together. Lets hear it for the Avion Flu.
That means that the left wing lunatics on the fringe hope that the voting folks back home DON'T NOTICE their values and beliefs have been abandoned by those they put into office.
"former U.S. Sen. Max Cleland who lost three limbs in Vietnam playing with hand grenades....not in combat."
Supposedly as Max and a comrade jumped off a helicopter, a grenade fell off the other guy's harness the pin had been modified to release more easily). Max thought the (now live) grenade was his and picked it up.
Max is a joke to any real combat Vet. All EM, who have been through basic training, know how to safely handle a grenade. Max would you please admit you caused your own loss of limbs out of your own stupidity?
IOW they are seeking to use the "cripple card" to immunize his criticism of Murtha's cut and run possition.
Notice there is no mention that the reason he is injured is because he fumbled a grenade and injured HIMSELF. The MSM just IMPLIES it was enemy combat.
The MEDIUM IS THE MESSAGE
It does not matter what he says, it is a crippled soldier speaking agains the war. The cripple status IS the message.
This is 100% pure big brother communication doublespeak from the DNC strategists.
Remember when Cleland camped out in Crawford in 2004, demanding that President Bush denounce the Swift Vets? That sure turned the tide.
Evidently, 'Rat campaign planners are slow learners...
please, please, plesase Ann.
Let me know if this begging thing works with Ann. If it does, I've got a different request for her.
Yes, I remember it well... Max's learning curve must be upside down.

Looks like Murtha needs some serious help. Ironic how anyone not on the ground with the Marines that day and not under fire with them are only reading BS on aol and/or from the MSM, Yet they can judge a man in combat?
Let me be frank. I could not tell you what a team on the ground was doing from 2,000 feet in the air or less. There were times prior to that when my top NCO had no idea what size unit we had hit, and; he was only two squads back from me.
