Interesting. The little appreciated secrete is that much of Indonesia's businesses are really in Chinese (Buddist) ethinicity hands (while the government/politicians are all local Islamic). They have so far survived together not treading too much on each other's turf and recognizing their places.

That will all change with Sharia Law. They need the Chinese and must tolerate Buddaism (not to mention all that goes into entertaining/cultivating Japaenese businessmen) or they can forget having an economy.

BTW the Chinese ethinicity connection with money and business in Indonesia was important in other arenas. That was the reason Clinton's money for secrete sugar daddy Rialdi was an Indonesian businessman but the money flow was to China.

"...they can forget having an economy."

Economy? They don't need no stinking economy. It's all abut SUMISSION, the less people have, the better they submit. This is the dream of Islamofacists, and their dream is spreading apace.

A lot of the businessmen on Malaysia and Indonesia have local Muslim names and perhaps even a local ancestor or two, but at home they speak Chinese, drink alcohol, and practice Buddhism if anything. They are Chinese through and through, and stay in touch with the old home village back in Fujian. I think Riady was one of these.
