So why don't YOU try to find a news article that shows a person was really harmed in any way from a lazer pen.

The danger for pilots is "flash blindness" -- temporary blindness and distraction that can cause loss of control of the aircraft. It isn't necessary to burn their eyes out of their sockets to create a dangerous situation.
