White is on his way out of office as mayor (term limits) but he's already being talked up for a Senatorial run.
And he is a former member of the Clinton Administration (as was Houston's previous mayor, Lee P. Brown).
Bill White was also the chairman of the Texas Democratic Party, from 1995 to 1998.
