That much I can buy.
But if so it has not gone as planned. Someone pointed out in a posting today that Iran has been calling for a ceasefire for 20 days in a row. I can't verify that but they certainly are calling for one right now and they seem very, very unhappy with the "do nothing" U.N.
Okay, but if you look at it from a simple PR stance, Iran calling for a cease-fire gives the "impression" they are a peace loving group of nice folks- at least to the idiotic masses over there who cling to his every word. He now appears to be the peaceful guardian of the ME and Israel is made to look like the stubborn, murdering maniacs. This also gives him ground to accuse the Great Satan of being the true aggressor.
