Take Fidel, make him more sadistic, more hands on cruel, lessen the ego, and multiply lack of respect for life and multiply the dedication to stalinist marxism, and you have Raoul.
So are you saying out of the frying pan, into the fire?

If he dies, who is giving out the cuban cigars? Half the population of Miami.

Now, now... Why must you be so cruel? ;) How about a response similar to this one just posted over at DU by one very upset liberal:

My Spanish isn't very good, so I'll say it in English.
The Revolution will continue. In the 50's, you didn't have the Internet. We do now, with 512 bit encryption.
I have to admit, your rule of the Cuban people was at times brutal, but much less so than Batista. You gave your people universal health care, universal education, equality.
RIP, mi amigo

Caring for an elderly man with major abdominal surgery who smokes should take him right into pneumonia.

Yikes, maybe it will be this newslady I just switched over to. I thought it was going to be the Naked News - it almost is.
Woman in see-through dress is doing the news. For some reason, it is called Al Rojo Vivo and when I googled that, ummm ... I got nasty stuff, with my filters on. I can't tell what this is or why they would name a TV channel "red life" or whatever it is.
It appears to have Mexican news - long segment on the people camped out in Mexico City - but also lots of American news and not exactly tabloid, but kind of. Yeah, now some celebrity news, but Mexican singers - but also Mel Gibson.
No Castro so far, anyway. Seems like "red life" would be the place to put him, unless I'm not getting what the "al" in front of it means.
Oh, the network is Telemundo. I *knew* that, but why is the news called something else?

So...with all that traveling he was doing - dare we hope it was his Farewell Tour?
