Just after many of us thought Haleigh Poutre was safe and sound and we start to forget...
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- State officials have told the mother of a brain-injured girl who became the focus of a right-to-die fight that she cannot visit her daughter in a rehabilitation hospital, the woman and her lawyer said Monday.
Allison Avrett was last scheduled to visit her 12-year-old daughter, Haleigh Poutre, on Aug. 1 at the Franciscan Hospital for Children in Boston. But she received a call from the Department of Social Services the night before telling her that visit and future visits were off indefinitely, Avrett said.
"They said the visit had to be canceled because of Haleigh's needs," Avrett said. "But they couldn't tell me what was going on."

If somebody starts a Save Haleigh Poutre fund to get that child OUT OF THERE and into a safe facility, I'll stand in line to send a check.
Uh oh. Bells and whistles are going off. What are they up to now?
