You are exactly right. Florida now has laws in place to give seniors an early exit from life and to raid their estates. State Senate leader Jim King calls this his "legacy" legislation. The main legacy will be to kill Florida's extremely lucrative retirement industry as fast as seniors find out they can legally be bumped off and robbed if they move to Florida.

This is a photo of Joshua Heldreth (10), learning to stand for Jesus. Scott Heldreth cried when he saw his son arrested. Ordinarily those would be tears of sorrow for a father watching his son being handcuffed. But Scott's tears were tears of joy because Joshua, in attempting to bring water to Terri Schiavo, had taken to heart the mandate in Matthew 25:35-36. I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in.

It's time to readjust our thinking, it was "for the children"
Thank you for nailing the source of the rot in this state of Florida. It makes me wonder why so many people in Florida sit like bump on a log and not see this moral outrage running on corruption and greed.
It must be the orange juice.
Have you seen this?

Haleigh Poutre's stepfather pleads innocent to assault charges
[video]
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- The stepfather of a brain-injured Westfield girl remains free on $5,000 bail after pleading not guilty to charges that he assaulted the 12-year-old.
Jason Strickland answered today to six assault and battery charges in Hampden Superior Court in Springfield. Prosecutors say he's responsible for the abuse that led to Haleigh Poutre's hospitalization with severe brain injuries last September.
Strickland's lawyer declined to comment on the case.
Haleigh is now in state custody at a Boston rehabilitation hospital. Her biological mother and grandmother were in court today for Strickland's arraignment.
Sandy Sudyka, Haleigh's grandmother, says seeing Strickland free on bond makes her (quote) "blood pressure want to rise."

Yeah, I saw that. He's running around loose, and his victim might get the death penalty. Sick!
Sources say Haleigh Poutre is beginning to talk

Sandy Sudyka isn't allowed to see her granddaughter Haleigh Poutre. She isn't allowed to tell the 12-year-old how much she loves her, or how proud she is of Haleigh's accomplishments.
Last week, the Department of Social Services told Sudyka and Haleigh's biological mom, Allison Avrett, that their visits to the Franciscan Hospital for Children in Boston were canceled until further notice.
"We tell her when we leave, we'll be back in two weeks. You know we'll always come back, and now we can't," says Sudyka. Although she can't comment on Haleigh's condition, Sudyka can say the little girl seems responsive to both them and the mention of other family members.
"When you talk about them, her eyes light up. She gets a big smile." Sources say Haleigh is making tremendous improvements. She's even beginning to talk and make bigger movements.
Whether there's a connection between those strides and family visits, one can only speculate. But Sudyka says she thinks her and Avrett have a positive effect, "I think so, I really do." And if she can't visit Haleigh in Boston, Sudyka says she'll fight for custody.

I hope someone in Haleigh's family does get custody of her. DSS has intended her harm from the very start. They've shown no indication that they intend to change that position.
Sort of sounds like Michael Schiavo and Debbie Bushnell doesn't it?
I knew what the photo was, and Joshua's gift brought tears to my eyes, too.
I used the photo as a little joke. It was labeled "fantasy." Check 8mmMauser's reaction right below it :-)
Mother Teresa put the mandate in St. Matthew into these words, which I posted earlier in this thread: "At the end of our lives, we will not be judged by how many diplomas we have received, how much money we have made or how many great things we have done. We will be judged by I was hungry and you gave me to eat. I was naked and you clothed me. I was homeless and you took me in."
Oh, c'mon, the DSS can't be THAT bad.
A crummy $5,000 bail? He's free? And the DSS stomps the girl's real mother and grandmother, who didn't do anything wrong? Massachusetts is an insane asylum.
BTTT
I get it! Cindy Sheehan, the Left's Ditch Witch of the Dead might need that drink of water in that Hell she is putting herself now and in the hearafter.
Reinhard Heydrich. Mahmud Ahmadinejad. Kim Jong Il. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. George Greer is a small fry in comparison, but just as drunk with power as any of them, and just as evil.
Still nothing new on Haleigh Poutre this morning. Still watching.
For the Alliance Defense Fund, whose lawyers represent the Turtons, it's pretty clearly the promotion of Christian causes. The organization was created in 1994 largely to counterbalance the ACLU in court, and it has since successfully defended the Boy Scout ban on gay scoutmasters, helped stop San Francisco from instituting gay marriage, and backed efforts to keep Terri Schiavo alive. Now it's on the same side as the ACLU, which makes local ADF counsel in the Turton case very uncomfortable. "I almost see it as a conflict," said Demetrios Stratis of the ACLU's role in the case. "They're just throwing a bone to Christians, if you will, so they can say they support everyone."

The elite left wing liberal activist judges wax eloquent when perceiving their imperial authority questioned.
Death threats are now a part of the job for judges whose decisions run counter to the rights cultural, religious and political agenda.
U.S. District Court Judge John E. Jones, who ruled last December (in Kitzmiller v. Dover School District) against the teaching of intelligent design in public schools, needed federal marshals to protect him and his family after he issued his landmark decision. So did his colleague in Florida, U.S. District Court Judge James Whittemore, when he refused to intervene to prevent the removal of Terry Schiavos feeding tube. In Chicago last year, Judge Joan H. Lefkows husband and mother were murdered by a disgruntled medical malpractice litigant but police originally went down the wrong investigative path because a white supremacist had already been convicted of conspiring to murder the judge.
