Charlie Crist Let My Daughter Die

As most Americans know, on March 31, 2005, my daughter, Terri Schindler Schiavo died of starvation and thirst after having her feeding tube removed by court order. The sad chain of events that concluded with Terri’s death ignited a media firestorm nationally and internationally. What few saw or heard was the callous inaction of aspiring governor Charlie Crist.
Florida Atty. Gen. Charlie Crist let my daughter die. He had it within his authority to save her life, but he turned a blind eye to her suffering. Even worse, he worked to ensure her death.
Terri lived in a neurologically compromised state for reasons that are still unknown, and my family wanted nothing more than permission to care for Terri for the span of her natural life. We were denied.
My daughter tenaciously fought for her life for more than 13 days after being deprived of the most basic, natural and constant need that we all share—the need for nourishment—food and water. Terri was not on a respirator, nor terminally ill. She was not dying, nor succumbing to a dreadful disease. She was disabled. She was dependent on others, but still very much a life, a woman, and a person.
Over the course of several years, our family, our lawyers, and our friends pleaded for help from local, county, and state police and regulatory agencies with constitutional and statutory authority to investigate the many sworn statements of extreme abuse and neglect suffered by our daughter.
Hoping to save my daughter’s life, our family sought the help of Attorney General Charlie Crist. Not only did Charlie Crist refuse our family lawful access to the assets of his office, but he violated his oath of office by actively cooperated with those in positions of political and judicial authority whom denied us legal access to the police and regulatory systems meant to protect the weak. Multiple sworn agents from responsible police and regulatory agencies who found probable cause to investigate allegations of abuse in Terri's judicial and physical care, were ordered to shut down those probes. This heavy-handedness made us powerless.
Information of direct interest to Attorney General Charlie Crist's office was directly delivered to his personal hands, and he refused to properly execute the duties of his office. And it was with deliberate decision that he failed to attend a scheduled Tallahassee meeting with our family. On another occasion, we approached each other by chance. Upon recognizing me, Charlie Crist abruptly stopped and walked away.
That callous action encapsulates Charlie Crist. He walked away from a man whose daughter’s fate he controlled. At that moment, he turned his back on Terri. And he turned his back on the most fundamental duties of his office.
It is quite clear that Charlie Crist, to this day, has demonstrated no public affection for the cause of life, or Christianity, or any set of core values. He has been posturing to become governor for decades. With each voting audience he has crafted a message based on the expediency of the moment.
To add insult to injury, at a recent banquet, our alleged pro-life candidate for the Governor of Florida said the following about Judge George Greer and other judges involved in the death of my daughter, "You are heroes to all of us, and your defense of the judiciary and what is right is beyond admirable."
Through his actions, Charlie Crist has demonstrated that he has no regard for our most vulnerable citizens, the high duties of public office, or life itself. Charlie Crist’s celebration of the merciless judges who condemned Terri to death speaks to his true character.

If we define brain death as dead, then Terri Schiavo was dead. The eye movement, of which so much as was made, was merely a vestigal nerve response. The optic portion of her brain was gone, I believe atrophied, and she was not cognizant of light; her movement merely being that of sympathic nerves. The autopsy bore that out.
I didn't know that we define blind people as brain dead as you imply.
Regardless, there is a problem with what you say. There is medical evidence that supports that dehydration causes Acute cortical blindness. We all can agree that Terri was dehydrated, right?

If you are saying Terri was brain dead, you are demonstrably wrong. Brain death is a specific medical diagnosis based on rigorous tests and conditions. It is defined as a complete cessation of brain function, including the brain stem. Therefore, a brain dead patient cannot survive without a respirator. Terri could breathe unaided and that alone will tell you she was not brain dead.

Drs. Cranford and Hammesfahr, representing opposite sides of the legal dispute, both found that Terri had some vision, though of course it was very poor. These were clinical tests, which are substantially more reliable than an autopsy finding. If Dr. Thogmartin is correct that Terri was cortically blind, almost certainly the loss of her remaining vision was caused by the dehydration.
TIMING OF THIS HEARING COULDN'T BE WORSE FOR CRIST. HIS HERO IS IN HOT WATER...Judge Greer has a court date in PENSACOLA on August 18th with the Florida Elections Commission. It appears they are finally looking into Judge Greer's violation of the judicial canons in his 2004 race.
It is a sticky wicket because everyone in the tv spot are Crist cronies from the county that makes Cook County in Chicago blush.
If the FEC has the integrity that the JQC lacks, maybe Greer will finally get the boot. Remember, Judge Greer was called a hero by Crist at a big trial lawyer convention at a West Palm Beach County. Judge Greer mandated the murder of a disabled woman after giving all of her rehab monies to right to die lawyers that REPRESENTED HER ADULTEROUS HUSBAND. THEY WERE NOT HER ATTORNEYS - death obsessed, driven trial lawyers. TERRI SCHIAVO WAS ROBBED BEFORE SHE WAS STARVED/DEHYDRATED TO DEATH.
Crist didn't stop them from killing her or from ROBBING HER FOR THAT MATTER.
He embraced them the right to die scum and in so doing, also the ACLU. He was a lousy AG, so why should he be promoted to be a lousy governor?
I was out today and I wasn't discussing politics but other people were. Seems that Charlie Crist is Florida's Al Gore. Everyone is making fun of him. I had no idea. People from St. Pete are really laughing at Crist's expense. That's what happens in SOCIAL PROMOTIONS. Apparently, CRIST hasn't changed since high school.
CHARLIE CRIST has poor judgment choosing his acquaintances. Crist and Greer are thick as well, thieves.
Terri Schiavo had no directives, she was never represented by counsel (WHERE WAS CHARLIE CRIST?) He should have stepped in and represented her interests but he couldn't because of AMERIKA'S VORST JUDGE GREER who belongs in prison along with the former Sheriff and the State Attorney. Crist's FL AG office told callers that they "didn't have a civil rights dept." His staff was even LYING to avoid helping Terri Schiavo. They followed orders because Greer had to make sure that he could have Terri starved/dehydrated to death. Got it?
Pensacola, August 18th. Greer's violations being heard. Greer is one of Crist's judicial heroes because GREER killed somebody?
Oops. That's what happens when a dunderhead like CHARLIE CRIST gets a social promotion. He was a total failure as FL AG except he did a fine job of handing his troubles over to Jeb. I wish Jeb would quit protecting Crist. It is SO OBVIOUS.
The question is: What happens when a Judge conducts an ILLEGAL CAMPAIGN, along with the Sheriff, the Public Defender, the Prosecutor and a Deputy Cunningham in a tv ad that is all over the internet if it LEADS TO SOMEBODY'S DEATH because the tv spot was illegal and also misleading. The voters imo believed they were voting for a criminal court judge. They were totally fooled. The commercial did not specify that Judge Greer was a guardianship judge. It was very misleading. THROW THE BOOK AT HIM AND HIS LITTLE FRIENDS TOO.
If the FEC says that tv spot is okay, then they are also violating Florida's campaign laws. Remember that campaign laws for judges are a lot stricter than for politicians. If the FEC clears GREER, it's hammer time again. We'll get their phone number up and also their email address.
Is anybody in Florida capable of following their oath of office? I'm just askin' for one honest person who puts justice over political gamesmanship. Is there one?
Terri was murdered. They can't have a mulligan on killing her. She's gone.
By the way, my office tv is burnt out. We haven't had any big lightening strikes and my clocks work but my tv is absolutely shot.

The state may seem to run on time so to speak, but Tallahassee is a mess. I believe Jeb knows it and he's getting while the getting's good.
Since Terri had no counsel, she was denied a fundamental right of every American. Charlie Crist had a duty as Fl AG to investigate all the intricacies of Terri Schiavo's circumstance. He couldn't do that because of his ties to the Pinellas judicial tyrannists, to the Sheriff and to the State Attorney anad also his relationships with DCF and ACHA.
There was an investigation and the investigator was told to drop it even though he was making progress as far as all the violations and wrongdoing against Terri Schiavo. Who told the investigator to call it off? CHARLIE CRIST'S CURRENT ADVISOR, CLAY ROBERTS.
Crist's current advisor was responsible for stopping the ongoing investigation that was "founded".
Crist was directly involved. Directly. He cannot say he's pro-life. He can't do that because Clay Roberts, his current advisor stopped the investigation and who told Clay Roberts to stop it? CRIST for GREER?
As governor, what will he do? Will he look the other way the next time a husband wants his wife dead so he can marry the woman who had his illegitimate children?
Have you ever noticed that Crist resembles Dr. Kevorkian? He might as well act like him since CRIST only values the lives of teachers, developers, the death lobby, and the AARP.
It is ignorant when posters give Michael way too many rights for being a bad husband. "One man had the legal authority to make the decisions related to Teri's life and that man was her husband."
There were plenty of others willing to take over the guardianship who would have provided the rehabilitation and love that Terri needed but was denied.
The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. NOT Judge Greer, Sheriff Rice, State Attorney Bernie McCabe, not Charlie Crist, not Judge Whittemore, not George Felos, Debra Bushnell, Ham Baskin, et al, the ACLU, not Howard Dean either. Not scheming democrats and misquided republicans in name only!
It's time for Charlie Crist's social promotions to end. I'm afraid he's just getting warmed up. He's only going to help special interests and there are NO, I repeat NO photos of Charlie Crist with a person in a wheelchair. That speaks volumes about indifference. Volumes. fregards, FV

If we have anyone in Pensacola, they should attend the hearing and they'll get to see Greer's tv commercial and watch him explain how he pulled it off, you know breaking the law like that.
I think he's an atheist so won't he be surprised when he gets there...
