Shut up Hitchens. Mel is an a$$hole but so are you. You dislike anyone that believes in God. That's your real beef. The biggest problem with Mel isn't that he expressed some anti-semitic views. His biggest problem is that he is a selfish drunk. Maybe Hitchens doesn't want to focus on that problem because it hits a little too close to home. Aggreed, but I have to admit I was surprised by Hitchens this time. Usually, his most vicious attacks (Mother Teresa and Bob Hope come to mind) are written after the subject has died.

I think it's clear that Mel's got a lot of anger bottled up against the Jewish "spokesmen" and commentators who waged a hateful campaign against him for the audacity of putting the Christian Gospels on film. Too bad he appears to have generalized his justified anger at these Christian hating victim-mongers - the Foxmans, etc. - against Jewish people generally.
