And the Hizbollah rocket attacks, conveniently left out of the story earlier. that's what promted Israel to forget about the 48 hr, stay on sorties.

Hold on for a tick.

You're telling me that the international news media is leaving out information in order to try to make Israel look bad?

I need to summon my favorite Superhero:

I'd still prefer to have Bibi in charge right now.

I could see that Condolezza Rice was backing away from the orginal demand tha Hezbollah return the Israeli soldiers before a cease fire, and I was beginning to worry. I feel that her lack of understanding of the Islamics disqualifies her as an able peacemaker in the Middle East.

I'm glad somebody else asked what that was. Now, I can interpret it into Air Force speak for myself - same as Siera Hotel.

I believe the equivalent Air Force phrase is "Group hug!" ;-)

I used to like condi, now it's obvious she isn't fit for that job. negotiating with terrorists is futile. she does not understand what Islam is, or understand the meaning of koranic verses such as "War is deceit". The Koran is a war manual, not a "religion of peace". She should be issuing ultimatums, not seeking compromises.

They shouldn't be apologizing for hitting members of the Lebanese army unless it was friendly fire...The Lebanese have not and are not backing Israel in removing Hezbolah. They need to either lead, follow, or get out of the way.

The reason?

It takes TWO sides to stop shooting.

Hammer-Nail-Head.

A "cease-fire" supposes that BOTH side will cease agressive activities. Israel did not resume hostilities UNTIL they were attacked by Hezbollah, which, by the way, never agreed to a cease fire in the first place.

You are full of it. Bush has been giving Ohlmert cover since this first started, and contiues to do so today.

Is that why he's calling for an end to the fighting? That kind of cover?

No this kind from today:

"Iran must end its financial support and supply of weapons to terrorist groups like Hezbollah. Syria must end its support for terror and respect the sovereignty of Lebanon," Bush said in a speech at the Port of Miami.

Bush planned to meet later today in Washington with Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, who cut short her diplomatic mission and was returning from the Middle East.

"As we work with friends and allies, it's important to remember this crisis began with Hezbollah's unprovoked attacks against Israel. Israel is exercising its right to defend itself," Bush said, resisting mounting international pressure for an immediate cease-fire

Hmmm.... I like it! Use the lies that the Hezzies rely on (like, "Sure we'll stop attacking (this week) in exchange for more land") against them.

Announce a cease-fire, track the missile and explosives transports, and blow them sky-high. I LOVE IT!

In fact, Lebanon's president is threatening to attack Israel with the Lebonese Hezbollah army. He's clearly a Hezbollah supporter.

"Gee, Jim, have you seen the abandoned Israeli towns?"

The BBC don't see no Israeli civilian causalities, only Arab "civilian" casualties.

This must be why Bibi isn't talking to Rush yet.

Yeah, because he's got Olmert in a headlock. LOL.

I got a hint when Rush said Bibi would be delayed an hour. I figured a big announcement was coming and hey, Bibi won't be discussing stale news.

How long are we going to have to watch those comedians until common sense is bombed into these people?

The world tolerated Arafat pretending to be a peacemaker. The world tolerated the pitiful Palestinians and their plight. The world tolerated a generation of upside-down, inside-out logic because to deal with it was too much trouble.

Geez, can the world, collectively and as common human beings, all agree that KILLING YOUR CHILDREN is unacceptable?

I am getting so weary.

Ha. I guess in today's AF you may be right. I got out in 84 before the degradation of the pampered princes of the Clintoon era.

This very short article is certainly worth reading (or re-reading).

Dated prior to 9/11.

Don't miss it.

I don't understand BBC's reporting. How come there are only Arab "civilian" casualties? Where are the Hezbollah casualties? Not to mention Jewish casualties, deserted jewish towns, food shortages and horrible conditions from packed, hot bomb shelters, the destroyed buildings, roads etc etc. The biased reporting is so painfully pathetic. How can these scumbag 'reporters" live with themselves? ( probably because they are Muslim themselves)
