| While I have no doubt that Hezbellywood is both possible and likely, be careful saying things such as "the time stamps on the photographers cameras are DIFFERENT." We have no clue what the time stamps are. The only information we have is the "dateline" stamp on the articles that the reporters filed. A reporter may file two dozen photos and then over the next 8 hours file a half dozen stories related to the same incident at different times with changes as time and snooping around demand. The newspapers run with whichever story fits their timeline and pluck what pictures it wants from the dozens filed. In short I may shoot two dozen photos of an incident at 8am, file a report at 8:30 and then file another one at 11am having learned other "facts/fiction" and the media will still choose what pics from 8am to use. It doesn't mean that this kid was being carried out at both 8:30 and 11:00am. |
As it relates, I believe we are going to have to change our tactics as well to win the WOT. The Iraqi resistance knew that they couldn't go head to head with us, so they changed tactics and they have lasted 4 years and some would now argue are winning the media war. The democrats are ready to surrender, in fact have joined forces with the media and the terrorists to ensure that we do.
1) Go after the heart of the Islamic idealogical mutation. Kill the clerics teaching hate and terrorism. We need to try and enlist moderate Muslims in this effort.
2) Send Amidinejad, Nasrallah, Assad, etc. personalized cruise missiles. These despots know they can't fight us under a flag, so they fight us through the media and proxy agents like Hamas and Hezbollah. We know there is a connection, we must have the courage to act on the knowledge. Think about the present Reagan sent Khadafi. These nutjobs all puff their chests and engage in escalating rhetoric until you punch them in the nose. Saddam didn't shut up after the Gulf War because we didn't directly target or threaten him. When we did, he hid in the ground like the rodent he was. W needs to confront these guys directly and personally. They need to fear W to respect him, or die. W has no choice in this. Anything less will embolden them.
3) We must be willing to fight like the terrorists fight. Un-uniformed, tactical squads that infiltrate and assassinate. Fighting terrorists hiding behind civilians in urban combat with 500 pounders and tanks is a losing strategy.
Fighting the terrorists they way we are now is actually making them stronger.

I stand corrected- you're right. The article doesn't use the words time stamp- but it does go into great detail showing the unlikelihood of the sequence of events if it happened the way Hizzballah says it did.
