I was being sarcastic -- my point was that the government should enforce the laws, instead of expecting private business or citizens to do it for them.
The Federal government should work on securing the borders -- if illegals can't come in, you don't have to worry about them being hired. Also, the worst problem are not those who are working, but those who are getting welfare, so why don't they go after those? Last I heard, at the welfare office its illegal to inquire about someone's citizenship status.
And as private citizens in a constitutional republic WE also have an obiligation to help defend our country from an illegal invasion.
More so if the government isn't doing a good job.
"All that is required for evil to triumph is that good men do nothing".
Yes, it IS the Fed. Gov. Org. job to enforce the laws against illegal INVASION.
But it is ALSO the duty of every employer to make a reasonable effort to NOT hire illegals.
If they have dozens or hundreds of invaders on their pay-roll they clearly are NOT making a sincere effort to prevent hiring them.
So it IS up to all of us to enforce the laws against invasion as best we can, and ICE needs to make it easier for all of us to participate in that effort.

Unless the demand for illegals is reduced the effort to stop them crossing the border will be just like the war on drugs...ineffective.
