Made it to the end - skimmed a lot of posts, but did not see this story by and about Netanyahu referred to. It was something he said in his Knesset speach, only a small detail, but worthy at leas of a post I think:
Netanyahu said, "I was interviewed yesterday by a British station"....
(Now before I go on, imagine the typical snotty nosed, mid 20 to 30 something, reporter, sporting an upper class English accent, with a full grasp of contemporary history all the way back to the last World Cup.....Got the picture? )
"and they asked me what I thought about Israeli pilots bombing children."
(Now you get the picture, don't you? )
"I said, 'If youre asking, I'll tell you: This is as just a war as any that has ever been fought - but I can recall another just war, World War II, when Britain's Royal Air Force went to bomb the Gestapo headquarters in Copenhagen, but the bombers missed and hit a children's hospital nearby, killing 83 Danish children inside."
"This is a tragedy of war, but it happens. Unlike the other side, which rejoices when our children are killed, we are truly sorry when it happens, and we really and truly try to reduce casualties on the other side."
(I wish I had seen the face of that reporter .....)

(The second link goes to a site that advocates policies I certainly do not agree with. However the story of the Shell house bombing is well told.)
Whoa! I would have paid good money to see it.
Selective memories are on the increase.
