Your point about the military plan of Israel not being sufficient is a bit seperate from the diplomatic dance, I think.
It mostly depends...the diplomacy so-called...on whether the rest of the world is prepared to let Iran, through Hezbollah, take over Lebanon. Because that really appears to be what is happening, when you back off and take a look at the big picture.

I guess that all depends on how this unexpected reaction of bad daughter Israel affects the 'international community' (aka New World) family. How much importance will Secretary Rice's admonishments hold compared to that of Daddy Annan and the U.N.?
