My encyclopedias say that Darwin was not a Darwinist, his sons and cousin Sir Francis Galton promoted eugenics. It also says he never wrote "survival of the fittest". People who write encyclopedias are morons.

It also says he[Darwin] never wrote "survival of the fittest". Darwin did not coin the phrase; Herbert Spencer did. Supposedly Darwin detested it, but in time realized that it had so become part of the vernacular that resistance was futile.
