Well it's not the distance I was questioning so much as the timing. Several FReepers here have set me straight on that and say it's not that difficult. I learn something every day here on this amazing web site.

Do not get them wrong, it is only not that difficult if one has all the particular requirements in the equation, superb vision being first and after that control, although to hit a target like that they go hand in hand.

Back then I had vision of 20-14 (or was it 14-20) along with incredible depth perception, color, night vision, IOW the whole works, plus the talent of focusing on a mission & operating under high duress

Believe it or not, I varied from their training (in the breathing area) but I never told them about that because they would have insisted that I did it their way.
