ah...there you are, talking me down again.

I was doing okay about this until that (false?) report that Israel had agreed NOT to expect Hezbollah to disarm or leave.

This is going to be a nerve-racking weekend, for sure.

Thanks for the "pep talk".

The key here is that Pres Bush has stood squarely behind Israel, taking PM Blair with him. Besides the fact that the "moderate" Arab states want nothing to do with Hezbollah, understanding that they are nothing more than an Iranian militia. And the there is no love lost between the "moderate" Arab states, and the Iranians and the Syrians, who are thugs.

There's an awful lot going on underneath the radar (military metaphor), but to me the key is what our admin is saying, particularly Pres Bush and John Bolton. The admin is resolute in what they have been saying, so I'm going to ignore any signs of "squishyness".

Not to mention that I highly suspect that the Israelis repeatedly allow the Hamasniks enough rope to hang themselves.

One last thought, Iran is calling for a ceasefire...this to me indicates that the Hezzies are getting their clock cleaned.
