I wasn't close to the tv but I THINK I just heard Brian Wilson say (to the Israeli ambassador to the US) that he'd heard Olmert is not pleased with the IDF performance.
Did anyone else hear this? IF that is the case..then perhaps there's more division than we thought?
Again- I'm not certain I heard that correctly..
Olmert is under lots of pressure. I know there is pressure to get out with as few casualties as possible. I know there is pressure to hurry up and get it over. It's becoming very expensive to the economy and the well-being of his people.
I am not sure if he's found secure poltical footing. He needs the heart of a lion, the wisdom of Solomon, nerves of steel and generals who will do the right thing over and over and over again.
I don't know if he and his circle has what it takes, and I don't know enough about the internal workings of Israeli power structures (power structures often being outside of the official leadership channels) to know what will happen next, but if they look too waffly, the right's going to pounce, and the left will push the other way and Israel could collapse into a political struggle at the worst possible moment.
May God guide the right advice into his head, and may he be given the wisdom to follow it, whatever is the right thing.

That's like a manager telling his boxer in the 5th round that he's pissed that the boxer is getting his but wooped, meanwhile the boxer has one hand tied behind his back (a hand his manager tied)
