The reason the Gibson character in the Lethal Weapon series of movies was so believeable is because Gibson was not playing a role.

That's the way he really is.

After hearing this from several sources today, I can believe he let loose with obscenities, and even anti-semitic statements. His dad, after all, is a Holocaust denier, and he grew up around that stuff.
