You have a grudge against Mel Gibson? You sure seem ready to accept a gossip website like TMZ as Gospel truth!

I can honestly say I don't give one wit about Mel Gibson and his problems. He sounds like a spoiled super rich brat used to getting his way.

And you sound equally ready to believe it's not true. Glass half full, glass half empty sorta thing. He's only an actor, he didn't split the atom or anything.

OK, I'll own up: In light of independent comfirmation from the Sherrifs office, and from Mel Gibson's own apoligetic statement to the press, the TMZ report appears to be true.

I still maintain that one shouldn't trust explosive reports coming out of a previously-unknown website - otherwise we all would be trusting DEBKA around here on military matters. And certainly the pump was primed for many to come out strong against Mel Gibson, given the nature of his recent work.

Well, he's got lots of money, and lots of skills. It will be interesting to see if and how he works towards repentance.
