I knew he was arrested, but this version of the story is BS
To: maine-iac7
No, we are commenting about the anti semitic slur portion of the story. It's well documented that he was arrested. But this other part seems a little harder to believe.

I did not doubt that he was arrested, only the remarks they claim he made.

The DUI arrest is not the part that is stinkin' up the place.

Yep, there was a thread earlier today announcing the DUI but this account smells.

Sheesh, get a grip. No one is arguing the DUI didn't happen -- it's the alleged violence and anti-Semitic statements we're talking about here.
Pay attention.

It sounds rather scripted, like someone made it up. On the other hand, Gibson's father has nutty views. Like father, like son? Who knows? If he really did go on an anti-Semitic tirade, then Mel will be a hero to the hard left. All he has to do now is claim to hate America at least as much as he hates Jews, and the "mainstream" left will adore him.

"He was going 87 miles per hour in a 45-miles-per-hour zone," Whitmore said.
Deputies conducted field sobriety tests. A breath test indicated Gibson's blood-alcohol level was 0.12 percent, Whitmore said. California drivers 21 and older must remain under 0.08 percent.

"Gibson, 50, was booked at the Lost Hills Sheriff's station at 4:06 a.m., according to department records. The actor-director was cited and released at 9:45 a.m. after posting $5,000 bail, Whitmore said.
"The investigation is ongoing," Whitmore said...."

This is a little shocking, but he has also not looked like himself for a while.I'll say. He's been looking downright crazy -- a lot like the booze and drugged out crazies on skid row. Booze and drugs can change behavior. So can some physical problems like brain tumors.
Whatever's going on with Mel, it really does seem like he's descending into a bad place in his life.

Are you paying attention to what anyone else is saying?
NO ONE is disputing the DUI arrest. The antisemitic rant is what is BS.

Some of the keywords are bad.
Christians aren't supposed to be drunk, and there is more in this article than him simply being antiSemitic.
To: maine-iac7
WE ARE SAYING THAT YES, WE KNOW HE WAS ARRESTED, BUT NO, IT DOESN'T SEEM LIKELY THAT HE SAID THOSE THINGS WHILE BEING ARRESTED.
There is no need to continue to source the arrest, because we believe you. Yes, he was arrested.

TMZ has learned that Mel Gibson went on a rampage when he was arrested Friday on suspicion of drunk driving, hurling religious epithets. TMZ has also learned that the Los Angeles County Sheriff's department had the initial report doctored to keep the real story under wraps. smell that....smells like BS
To: mysterio
All I can say is if this isn't true Mel has one heck of a libel suit against this publication. This has both malice and real damage if false.

He was booked at 4am and he's a family man? Wouldn't a family man be at home asleep in his bed at that time instead of out drinking and driving?
