6 shot, 1 fatally at Seattle Jewish center('I am a Muslim American, angry at Israel)

A man walked into a Jewish organization Friday afternoon and opened fire, killing one person and injuring at least five others before he was arrested, officials said.

The gunman, who employees said claimed to be a Muslim angry at Israel, forced his way through the security door at the Jewish Federation after an employee had punched in her security code, said Marla Meislin-Dietrich, a co-worker who was not at the building at the time.

Staff members said they overheard him saying "'I am a Muslim American, angry at Israel,' before opening fire on everyone," Meislin-Dietrich said. "He was randomly shooting at everyone."

David Gomez, an FBI assistant special agent in charge of counterterrorism, said investigators believe the gunman targeted the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle.

"We believe at this point it's a lone individual acting out antagonism toward this particular organization," Gomez said.

In my estimation war is ultimately about ideas. Islamofascism has an idea of how the world should be. Their ideas are utterly and totally wrong.

OK, finally we're in total agreement. It is a war of ideas. And yes, Islamofascism ideas are utterly and totally wrong. So far, so good. Here's where we differ - I don't want it seen as a war between religions. It has to be a war between enlightened modern, rule of law, people of free societies Vs forces of ignorance and totalitarian darkness. Why? Because it's not about religion. Iran's President meets and greets Chevez - a Catholic - a totalitarian - but a Catholic totalitarian. Iran's President works with North Korea - another dark Totalitarian force, but not Muslim. Their side knows it's not about religion - and our side needs to "get" that.

The reason we're standing with Israel is that they're a modern, enlightened, rule of law, free society. That protects Israel and it protects our interest in protecting Israel. It also allows a bid to be made to the people of Iran and North Korea who don't stand with their nutty leaders. If it's a war of religions, we will lose too many who want to live in a free, modern, rule of law society -- the very people who might be able to help us down the road. This war is not going to be as easy as some people think - we need every advantage....
