One dead, at least five injured in shooting at Jewish Federation in Seattle
SEATTLE One person has been killed and at least five others have been injured in a shooting at the Jewish Federation at 2031 Third Ave. in downtown Seattle. One suspect has been taken into custody....
Sources told KING 5 the suspect is a 31-year-old Pakistani man with a criminal background. He is from the Pasco but his citizenship status or how long he has lived in the United States is unknown. Also unknown is what sort of criminal record he has. Officials are on the way to the Pasco to interview his family....
According to the Seattle Times, a man got through security at the Jewish Federation and told staff members, "I'm a Muslim American; I'm angry at Israel," then began shooting, according to Amy Wasser-Simpson, the vice president for planning and community services for the Jewish Federation.
A Harborview Medical Center spokesperson said five women were brought in, and three of them are in critical condition. They have not yet been identified. Their ages are 23, 27, 29, 19 and 43. The 43-year-old woman was reportedly shot in the abdomen. Two vicitms were in satisfactory condition: a woman, who's 17 weeks pregnant whowas shot in the arm and another victim with a knee injury....
...It's not yet known if the incident is politically motivated. The Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle says on its Web site that its mission is to "ensure Jewish survival and enhance the quality of Jewish life locally, in Israel and worldwide."
...Iantha Sidell, past chairperson of the Jewish Federation Center, said: "We believe in life and it's hard to believe there will ever be peace when you're dealing with people who don't value life."

Who woulda thunk it?
Does it surprise you that Wikipedia hardly mentions his influence on US schooling?
a muslim angry at Israel.. wow that's a raririty.. canwe label this one for what it is? a terrorist attacks a jewish center!
I just hope they reacted in a proportional manner.
"It wasn't politically motivated!? Are they dense?"
Yes, they're dense, and yes, it was politically motivated. It's Muslim thuggery coming to this country. Don't stand for it.

The next idiot who tries to tell me that islam is one of the worlds 'great religions' and really is very peaceful I think I'll take his or her damned fool head off with my bare hands.
These people are animals.

Odd how they never teach these two to students. You'd think they'd want their free thinkers to know from where all this flows.
I've said for a long time that if things don't change, political correctness is going to kill us.
I know you are correct about us being in a war with Islam and I no longer care (haven't for a few years now) what anybody wants to call me. Sticks and stones.....
I figured it was a Muslim. Fortunately it was north of me, and I go south when I get off work so I didn't get caught up in it.
You are dead on Lurker. The nation is under attack and our enemies are using our core institutions to attempt to destroy us.
Our nation is currently facing a Jihad, a Migration and we are facing internal treachery.
I ponder about the children born today what future they may have to face.
Now more than ever our generation must stand strong and determined against the wave brought against us. For the future of tomorrow we MUST win today.
We can defeat a jihad and we can overcome a migration but it is the internal treachery that is the greatest danger that exposes us all to ruin.
You dont have to attend meetings at the Jihad Club to be a terrorist, you just have to watch the message on tv, or attend a Mosque where they lecture over and over, and go out on their own.
Geez, FBI not going to say Terrorism, Bull!!! A terrorist can act alone with messages over the air.
San Francisco-lite wanna-be.
To counter this we need to arm EVERYONE. If they are going to kill us anyway, may as well take a few with us...
it is getting to the point that, whenever I hear of something other than run-of-the-mill crime, I tend to suspect islamism.
sadly, I have found the suspicion to be justified more often than not.
glad you were nowhere nearby.
