What was fascinating to me back when I was doing that research is that the community he was near had drastically changed in the few years since he had set up camp there.

Wierd things were stolen, like tons of copper wire. Bodies had begun showing up in the lake and no one ever came forward to identify them.

I kept asking my husband what you could do with copper wire by the truckloard.

He is an attorney who is Shia muslim and I thought the brazen advertising of the camp on an international border with Canada was quite interesting.

Copper is a hot item for thieves.

Salvage yards will pay a very good price for it and many salvage dealers are unscrupulous.
