Jokes yeah, but nobody could be serious.

Then you don't know what it's been like to have been named "Paula" in the past decade.

There was Paula Jones (Clinton), Paula Barberi (sp?) (OJ), Paula Poundstone (ick).

I was doing radio news, and the older, befuddled host once introduced me on the air as "Paula Jones." He was not making a joke.

My grandmother's name was "Monica." She died young in 1962. I can only imagine what it's like for them.

I work with a woman named Paula. When we were first introduced, I said "Paula. That's a nice name. It was my mother's middle name."
