As in 'the "things" we hoped to have in terms of "evidence"' simply do not exist. There is no "evidence."

Well, doesn't a DA wait until he has the evidence before he indicts?

Isn't that an admission of incompetence or rush to judgment right there?

To me you got the money quote. He admits he did not follow the evidence. He made up his mind based on Mangum's claim and ignored the evidence.
