50th Anniversary of Our National Motto, "In God We Trust," 2006

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2006/07/20060727-12.html

For Immediate Release Office of the Press Secretary July 27, 2006

A Proclamation by the President of the United States of America

On the 50th anniversary of our national motto, "In God We Trust," we reflect on these words that guide millions of Americans, recognize the blessings of the Creator, and offer our thanks for His great gift of liberty.

From its earliest days, the United States has been a Nation of faith. During the War of 1812, as the morning light revealed that the battle torn American flag still flew above Fort McHenry, Francis Scott Key penned, "And this be our motto: 'In God is our trust!'" His poem became our National Anthem, reminding generations of Americans to "Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation." On July 30, 1956, President Dwight Eisenhower signed the law officially establishing "In God We Trust" as our national motto.

Today, our country stands strong as a beacon of religious freedom. Our citizens, whatever their faith or background, worship freely and millions answer the universal call to love their neighbor and serve a cause greater than self.

As we commemorate the 50th anniversary of our national motto and remember with thanksgiving God's mercies throughout our history, we recognize a divine plan that stands above all human plans and continue to seek His will.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GEORGE W. BUSH, President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim July 30, 2006, as the 50th Anniversary of our National Motto, "In God We Trust." I call upon the people of the United States to observe this day with appropriate programs, ceremonies, and activities.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this twenty-seventh day of July, in the year of our Lord two thousand six, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and thirty-first.

GEORGE W. BUSH

What, you mean it wasn't there from the beginning? That it was a late addition for political purposes? GASP!

I saw a Doc last night on the symbolism in the making of the dollar bill. Franklin, Jefferson and Adams were the ones who helped design the seal. They implied 'In God We Trust' was put on the dollar as a cover for the secret Freemason symbolism on the rest of the bill.

"In God We Trust" began during the Civil War as something of a pun, replacing the implicit "In Gold We Trust" of previous paper money. See http://www.republicanbasics.com for more information.

""What, you mean it wasn't there from the beginning? That it was a late addition for political purposes? GASP!""

More covering up our Deist "Nature's God" founding source. Can you imagine if someone in Congress suggested the motto be changed to the more historically authentic "In Nature's God We Trust?" LOL, that would be worthwhile watching.

The United States Was Founded As A Heathen Nation That Disowned God

Those were the sentiments of the enemies of the full and equal right of conscience who executed the diabolic plan to undermine the authority of Christ over his own religion by having the motto “IN GOD WE TRUST” placed on the nation’s coins. These men despised the noble Christians who established our system of government and adopted the Bill of Rights.

The enemies of religious liberty considered great men like the wise and heroic James Madison and Daniel Carroll heathens who disowned God. These despicable minions of the horned one were successful because the American people by the end of the Civil War rejected the genuine Christianity of the founders for counterfeit Christianity.

Reverend M.R. Watkinson a Presbyterian minister wrote a letter to Secretary of the Treasury Samuel P. Chase in 1861 urging that the United States recognize the Deity on United States coins.

Watkins was part of a larger campaign waged by Counterfeit Christians disenchanted with the exemption of religion from the cognizance of government so wisely established by the founders. They were determined to overthrow the Separation of Church and State. Secretary Chase openly advocated government authority over religion and was therefore receptive to the appeals from Watkins and other Counterfeit Christians throughout the country.

The United States deprived itself of any right to claim it was a genuine Christian Nation when the American people did not take up the terrible swift sword, drink the grapes of wrath and remove the stooges who passed the 1860's bill that authorized the government to declare the people’s trust in God on the nation’s coins. The American people might just as well have sworn allegiance to the Dragon and began attending worship at the Temple of Beelzebub.

"E Pluribus Unum, baby!"

E Pluribus Unum is a motto, but "In God We Trust" is our national motto.

IN CONGRESS, July 4, 1776.

The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America,

endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights,

Looks like our Founding Fathers would not have objected.

"E Pluribus Unum" was the best motto this country ever had, and it was a philosophical tragedy that it was replaced with the "In God We Trust" pap. Might as well have been "We Like Kittens."

Or no-one at all. Which would be my preference as far as government policy.
