Sergeant Tells of Plot to Kill Iraqi Detainees
The New York Times ^ | July 28, 2006 | ROBERT F. WORTH

For more than a month after the killings, Sgt. Lemuel Lemus stuck to his story.

“Proper escalation of force was used,” he told an investigator, describing how members of his unit shot and killed three Iraqi prisoners who had lashed out at their captors and tried to escape after a raid northwest of Baghdad on May 9.

Then, on June 15, Sergeant Lemus offered a new and much darker account.

In a lengthy sworn statement, he said he had witnessed a deliberate plot by his fellow soldiers to kill the three handcuffed Iraqis and a cover-up in which one soldier cut another to bolster their story. The squad leader threatened to kill anyone who talked. Later, one guilt-stricken soldier complained of nightmares and “couldn’t stop talking” about what happened, Sergeant Lemus said.

I just wish the NYT were this interested in real Islamofascist killers, as opposed to Americans accused of THINKING of killing someone.

"I just wish the NYT were this interested in real Islamofascist killers"

The Jihadist fundamentalist blood cult are the NYT's pals. They are just poor victims in their eyes, poor defenseless victims which the evil USA is bullying. Watching crappy MSM this morning, all I saw were MUSLIMS being interviewed in Lebanon, Not one single Lebanese Christian.

Claims from a guy named Muhammad, a mullah, of how there were "mass graves" (How that can be when there aren't even any Israeli troops in the area) and hundreds of poor innocent MUSLIMS, buried in collapsed buildings. Then a healthy looking MUSLIM woman in her Burka complaining about how there is no food- blah blah blah.
Strange how when you do see a rare Christian Lebanese interviewed, they have a completely different take on the situation. They are HAPPY these Jihadists and getting their butts kicked.

Then of course, the leftist group named 'doctors without borders" crying that they can't get into the area to give aid to "victims".
These idiots just don't get it. it's a WAR ZONE, not a playground where teacher blows a whisle and everything stops so teacher can put a bandaid on Little Mohammad's knee.

The media makes me sick with their idiotic "reporting".

Sounds fishy to me. Somebody buckled due to prosecutorial threats. I'd be cautious about it.

ok with me, if htey are petty criminals put them into a civil court system. If they are terrorists then shoot them. Thats still a heck of a lot better than they treat our prisoners.

I know an RN/Army Lt Col who did a tour in Afghanistan. Several of our local MDs gave her flak for abetting war and stated proudly that _they_ would only participate in Doctors Without Borders. In a perfect deadpan, she told them:"I'll close your eyes."

The Doctors Without Borders have targets on their backs. The press doesn't report the deaths.

If it's at the Huffington thing it's suspect.

They're a regular mouthpiece for the Islamofascist movement.

Damn, I thought about killing some VC detainees a few times. Didn´t do it, but did think about it. It is bad enough our soldiers have to look over their shoulders to see if someone is watching them to determine if they might commit a crime in the heat of battle. If we lose the WOT it will be because of shit like this.

The New York Times:

We must prove that One US soldier is Bad, in order to use the Tyranny of the Anecdote to prove that ALL US soldiers are Bad.

Another treasonous entry from the Old Seditious Lady (All The Treson That's Fit To Undermine The US Armed Forces With!).
