It is an old DC-10 with a new cockpit. Kind of like taking a Chrysler K car and putting a new Mercedes interior in it and calling it a Mercedes

Exactly the same thing with the B737-300 (to 500) series. I have the same suspicion about wing-lets put on the older wings not designed for it. The enhancement may be more visual than anything else.., LOL.

I'm with you. Kind of like putting a chrome exhaust tip on a Dodge Neon. Except it costs more.
