Ten Eyke is on Audette between Edgewood and Croissant. Basically it's the first street behind Outer Drive (on the North side) and Ten Eyke is between Rotunda and Southfield. Carlisle runs right into it if you pass what is now Amy's and what used to be Carlisle Drugs, next to the Sweetwater Steakhouse.
I completely agree with your assessment of the area. While there are definitely more Arabs in West Dearborn than there were when I grew up (basically there were none then) it is nowhere near the level that East Dearborn has. And most of these people who don't know the area, East or West, don't realize what a nice city Dearborn is. They hear Arab and do a knee jerk.

The last time I drove by the Sweetwater Steak house was closed for remodeling. Was it a good place to eat?

I just realized that you must have been in the area rather recently. They used to be the Dearborn Tavern, until some auto companies/suppliers stopped allowing for lunches to be expensed at taverns....
