It's a huge issue. The Republicans knock it down and the Dems pick it up during the campaign. Just hammer away at it. The subtext being: vote dem and get a pay increase.

Most people don't make minimum wage, and thus I don't think most people think it is going to make their wages go up. I don't think it is the issue that the democarts hope it is. Remember, the democrats are still preaching Karl Marx class warfare, and the minimum wage is part of that agenda. That class warfare argument has lost much of its appeal.

Also, don't forget that the democrats have been using this issue for several election cycles without a winning result. We have not raised the minimum wage in a long time.
