She'd probably be stoned to death. At least she could take the SOB with her, and maybe a few of the religious police. Better than suffering in silence and being slowly beaten to death.

I was pointing out cultural differences.

I'm sorry, I misunderstood! It's a life it's difficult for most western women to even contemplate. I suppose if you grew up that way, it seems normal, but I find it hard to imagine that many of the women don't wish for a different sort of life.

You said, 'She'd probably be stoned to death. At least she could take the SOB with her, and maybe a few of the religious police. Better than suffering in silence and being slowly beaten to death.'

+* +* +* +* +*

As you say, a woman who hadn't been brainwashed her whole life would get to the point where she'd say, "I will stop you from hurting me or I will die trying."

Here in the USA, I tell any co-workers who have an occasional black eye, GET HELP. Don't try to deal with that imbecile alone, go get help from a domestic violence specialist who can get you and your kids out safely.

But these poor Muslim women ARE brainwashed, and they are surrounded on all sides. Maybe the best they could hope for is, as you say, to take out that S.O.B. in a brief but glorious demonstration of self-defense, retribution, and self-worth.

Again, here in the US, the name of the game is to get help, expert help, if you are in a dangerous domestic situation. Don't just stay in the status quo -- your kids are watching you. Modeling for them possessing the courage to seek out help and availing yourself of that help is the best gift you can give them.
