At the risk of being received like Ann Coulter, that KC guy was quite an unlikable and unpleasant personality.

I tend to agree. He was rather nasty ("your air-conditioned office") to a 911 operator who was doing what little she could to help him. Yeah, everybody else has been posting how he was under such stress, etc. -- that's exactly the point. Extraordinary stress brings out 'the real you.' We have plenty of recorded phone calls of other people, like those on the hijacked jets or in other emergencies altogether, who do *not* take out their fears and frustrations on whoever happens to answer the phone.

Maybe this situation was a little more 'real' to this guy...He had the smoke and he seemed to know for sure he was going to die...He clearly had no hope...The ones on the planes mabe had some hope of survival...

What struck me were this guy's last words...He called out to God...It was a prayer of desperation...Destitution...That's what it take for lots of folks to call on God...

Was it enough to get saved??? I hope so...I suspect there were many, many people that were waiting for the end who had private conversations with God...And maybe some didn't...

I agree. She knew what was going on and apparently KC did not. I noticed that she didn't tell him what everyone knew by then, it was a terrorist act. He was already hysterical I believe. I'm sorry for him and his family. But she has my sympathy too. She heard the man die. It must have hurt her deeply.

You know what? In the face of horror and death, *desperation* and survival take over. How anyone could piece apart this man's words is despicable to me. The MAN WAS 105 FLOORS IN THE BURNING SKY!!!!!! He was desperately trying to make her grab hold of him and PULL HIM OUT of there! My gosh. Our media love to piece apart our troops in combat in a similar manner. Soldiers might be yelling all sorts of nasty things and swear words as they run toward their enemy. For anyone to dissect those things, is simply UNFAIR!

"He was rather nasty"

The lack of empathy is unfreakingbelievable. The guy is 105 stores up with black smoke filling the room.

I will be glad to simulate the conditions with a simple smoke bomb if anybody would like to prove their composure.
