Nobody ever points out when they talk about WW11 about the role that this fifty mile stretch of water played. A proper organised ground offensive by the Germans was never possible unlike what happened in continental Europe and USSR. You are welcome nevertheless.

Yes and we're grateful to the US for their help in defeating the Third Reich as well.
It gets tricky when you talk about the USSR and how much we should extend the hand of thanks to them though.......
