Rolling Rock is just about the only American beer I like, with the exception of some microbrews and Yuengling Black & Tan. AB will screw this up, sure as shooting! *sigh*

AB'll water it down so much the unique taste will be like chlorinated tap water, just like all their other crappy beers. I'm glad I found Guinness.

A-B wil NOT change RR's formula. They never do when they buy another label. That's another beer urban legend. They're in the business of making money, not pissing off potential customers.

They already own a piece of Redhook, Widmer Bros, and now Goose Island in Chicago. It gives them a presence in a section of the beer market that actually does show some potential growth.

About the only way that breweries can grow nowadays is through takeovers. If anything, you might see RR in more places than ever since A-B's distribution network is so good.

If you are ever in Texas, try Shiner Bock. It's about all I drink these days.
