Accentuate the positive. Eliminate the negative. Latch onto the affirmative. And don't mess with mr. perversion. What they did...

I knew exactly what you meant. I didn't even notice your error, believe it or not. So now we BOTH have red faces LOL!

Given how increasingly often leftists rely on judicial fiat rather than the democratic process to implement their agenda, they really should call them the Judicial Fiat party rather than the Democratic party because they have little interest in democracy or the will of the people.

What is "marriag?"

I saw that as a "typo", one of the endless number we see in forums (and elsewhere).

On second thought, if we all began to call attention to every typo, every word spelled wrong, and every punctuation error, we could all do each other a favor.

Something like Forum With Bonus Grammar 101. Or some better name! A light-hearted road to better communication skills!

Only by ONE vote. Its not that great a victory. The Left has certainly made strides towards dismantling the traditional understanding of marriage. And this is an opponent that will not give up.

I saw it as a typo also but for some reason it struck me as particularly funny one. I think my mind's eye saw the word "Mirage" and got me thinking Marriage, Mirage....

Marriage...Mirage

Um. Have you thought of suggesting that definition to Webster's dictionary?

Ain't monogamy the greatest thing since sliced bread? Say yes!

They held the line until reinforcements could be brought up. The liberal agenda is petering out. If law is to be made by courts they will be our courts and our laws.

The state Supreme Court today decided 5-4 that Washington's law limiting marriage to one man and one woman does not violate the state constitution.

I find it appalling that it received 4 votes.

Isn't it amazing how it's referred to as a devastating setback when judges refuse to legislate from the bench?

'Devastating setback'for same-sex marriage

Great! Toast in the air, but then get back to the fight. It's far from over.

The leftist websites are conspicuously silent over this devastating setback - few of the harsh shrieks or hand-wringing we have come to expect. I think these recent decisions have shaken them into an uncharacteristic sobriety (of the unwholesome kind.) The homoadvocates are:
(1) analyzing what went wrong with their strategies; and
(2) studying the legal and political landscape in preparation for their next attack.

The calm and deliberate planning can be seen in liberal web postings. They are now diligently searching for a conservatively "weak" state court where lawsuits can be filed and some ground can be gained for their side, not just for morale's sake, but to wedge fake marriage into the political conversation and eventually force Supreme Court action, preferably when the court again swings leftward. The court decision in WA was VERY close, ridiculously so, and I have no doubt that in another year, or in another state, the decision wouldn't be found for the homoadvocates. Legislatures are also on their bullseye. Vicious campaigns are in the works; no skeleton will remain hidden, no youthful impropriety will go unnoticed, for the conservative runners. Of course, for the homosexual-friendly candidate, these same shortcomings will be winked at, if not awarded honorable accolades.

The argument for a federal marriage protection amendment is allegedly becoming weaker by virtue of these recent court decisions. Wrong. I contend that there is much more at stake now than even 2 months ago. The attack on marriage will be ramped up exponentially by the left and with all the resources they can muster. In my opinion, if marriage falls in another state, the momentum gained by the homoadvocates will be very hard, if not impossible, to reverse in one generation.

Fight by donating to conservative causes, volunteering time and effort in combating the homoactivist mindset, becoming educated in the enemies tactics, and by writing - letters to the editor, webpostings, essays, etc. Our future rests upon all good citizens joining in the fight.

I'm sorry to tell you that you wrongly corrected me! I did not make a grammatical error in my use of the word wrong. If you disagree, check it out. I'm glad to know you're paying attention, though!

This is like the miner's union demanding farm subsidies on grounds of equal rights.

And moreover, the miners demand that everyone call them 'farmers' so they can feel better about themeselves....'see we're farmers too - we're digging around in the dirt just like them - what's the harm in calling us farmers, we deserve the same respect. And if you don't capitulate and call us farmers, well you must have a problem.'
