Because the truth is, many so-called progressives are absolutely saturated with hate and will tolerate nothing that doesnt hew to their idea of what the world should look like. One of the truest statements I have seen lately.

If he is worried, he should get a lawyer and file for a restraining order. The letter is enough of a threat to be actionable in that regard, imo. Jmo. Ommho.

Sexion is an American living in Norway. According to his
blog, He contacted the local Norwegian authorities after receiving the most recent telephone death threat. He said the guy sounded like Leopold. But he doesn't know for sure since the caller ID was blocked.

The DUmmies were quite besides themselves over this loon reporting Rove was going down.
I have come to the conclusion that as a society,we quickly have become uneducated and naive to the point the blogshpere will be a caricature of itself and any site with "real" and "accurate" information will be pay site.

From Seixon's blog:
http://www.seixon.com/blog/
At approximately 7:00 AM Central European Time I received a phone call from a blocked number. The person on the phone told me I had written naughty things on my blog, and then laughed when I asked them who they were.
"You're a dead man."
This is what the person on the line told me right before hanging up.

I remember an article mentioning that Hillary was hiring someone to "handle blogs" for her to "get the word out", and I think there were other politicians with similar goals.
Is this what we are seeing here, some blogs being asked to present content and others pressured to be quiet? By these "experts" that Hillary, Kerry, and others are hiring?
.....................
http://blogs.knoxnews.com/knx/silence/archives/2006/06/sen_clinton_hir.shtml Sen. Clinton hires a blogger
Sen. Hillary Clinton's (D-NY) re-election campaign has hired Peter Daou, "one of the most prominent political bloggers in the nation, to help disseminate her message in a forum that has not always been that hospitable to her," the New York Times reports. "The move underscores the degree to which bloggers... have begun to transform American politics."
The Fix calls it "a major coup in her evolving relationship with the liberal blogosphere."
Daou writes: "As blog influence continues to grow, we can expect more intense fire directed at the blogosphere by those who have a vested interest in undermining it."

Is this what we are seeing here, some blogs being asked to present content and others pressured to be quiet? Yes, it is. See this old article The new 'Republicans vote on Wednesday' game about how some blogs are given "credibility" and then spew misinformation.

I suspect this sort of reward/pressure is how the Democrats try to influence the MSM.
It's a common approach in PR, but usually is not this heavy-handed.

I read the link. Yeah, the left does that. And how many of the "registered users" at kos or DU are Freepers, and vice versa?
At least the internets give us a chance to check things out more closely than when we just had papers and radio.
