I think that it is important to point out, for the record, that Rabbi Meir Kahane was murdered in Manhattan on the night of November 5, 1990 by the Egyptian terrorist, El Sayid Nossair. Kahane was murdered because he was a Jew, and while that is tragically far from a unique event in history, it underscores this essay's truth.
