"Let me translate: "I don't like Lamar Alexander, therefore, he's a RINO."

He's a good man and a fine senator."

I'm going to stop you right there, because you're doing your Weldian schtick again, and you know what I'm talking about. I've known Mr. Lamar! for most of my lifetime, far longer than you, and far more intimately than you. I'm not going to be told by the likes of you that this man is some "fine Senator" and "good Republican" when I've had a lifetime to witness his considerable deficiencies, both as an elected official AND as a Republican.

Apparently you fail to understand, once again, that an ACU rating is NOT the very definition of what makes a good Conservative and good Republican. You might take a look at a Gubernatorial contemporary of Alexander's, a man named Bill Janklow in South Dakota. His ACU rating during his very brief stay in Congress was fairly high, but Janklow was the biggest RINO that ever walked on two feet in the state, sabotaging every single solitary GOP opponent or colleague that would dare steal the spotlight from him. It was no surprise that Tom Daschle showed up as a "character witness" at his manslaughter trial, since he owed his Senate career to Janklow.

Now that you've been schooled on why the ACU isn't the definitive indicator, let's get back to Lamar! for a moment. Lamar! has always been a part of the statist GOP establishment in TN that has, just like its DC contemporaries were, has been content to serve as a minority party (even after we've become the majority party) and usually not wanting to either deal with bonafide Conservative activists or engage in (gasp !) party-building, since, after all, that might take away valuable time they could be spending on their tennis, golf, or polo game down at the club with Scooter and Mimsy. In fact, Lamar!'s tenure as Governor was so bad for the state GOP, that he left us in worse shape at any point since prior to the 1960s. He refused to do the right thing in 1984 and run for the Senate to stop Al Gore, Jr., a cancer on this state (and nation). Even after his piss-poor tenure at UT-Knoxville and laughable stint as Secretary of Education (where he still didn't know about widespread leftist indoctrination when any elementary schoolchild could've informed him of such) and his trail of mediocrity has continued unabated since, from his silly runs for President clear up until his almost invisible presence as the junior Senator for our state (aside from his Ahab-like crusade to tax the internet, making his statist bones).

By the way, his little "Mr. Nice Guy" routine is similarly ridiculous. An acquaintance of my parents once observed Mr. Nice Guy and his rabid temper on display in a local restaurant. When he took issue with his order, rather than calmly informing the waiter, he yelled and screamed like some petulant child and threw his food all over the floor (the usual "Do you KNOW who I am ?" routine).

As you can tell, Big Red, I do not like the distinguished gentleman, and I have merely hit on the tip of the iceberg as to why that is. I suggest you stick to what you know and don't tell me about something you don't. Some of us don't enjoy it having people piss on our heads while you tell us it is merely raining.

LOL!!!

You just did.

Want me to do it again?

Senator Alexander is a fine man and a good Republican.

Are you going to cry or throw a tantrum now?

Apparently you fail to understand, once again, that an ACU rating is NOT the very definition of what makes a good Conservative and good Republican.

Apparently you missed the part where I agreed with this statement. My endorsement of him is not based on that, but on his stance on the issues and his record, which reflects his high ACU rating.

Now that you've been schooled on why the ACU isn't the definitive indicator Oh, SCHOOOOOOOOOOOOLED me you did!

My God, your balls must be HUGE!!!

You crack me up. Do you actually take yourself seriously at all?

Lamar! has always been a part of the statist GOP establishment in TN that has, just like its DC contemporaries were, has been content to serve as a minority party (even after we've become the majority party) and usually not wanting to either deal with bonafide Conservative activists or engage in (gasp !) party-building, since, after all, that might take away valuable time they could be spending on their tennis, golf, or polo game down at the club with Scooter and Mimsy. Subjective, meaningless nonsense. You don't have a single fact in any of this. It's all completely subjective claptrap, no substance whatsoever.

He refused to do the right thing in 1984 and run for the Senate to stop Al Gore, Jr., a cancer on this state (and nation).

You are doing your "Everybody must run for every office I want them to or they are evil, immoral people because the only thing that should matter to them is doing what I think should happen" schtick again.

It's utter nonsense, and no decent person in their right mind would ever run for office under the kinds of demands you want to put on them.

And BTW, if he's such a RINO, why would you want him to run anyway? Oh well, logic isn't exactly your strongpoint.

Oh yes, this is objective fact. You are certainly a source of great credibility on this one.

Anyhow, I have a friend who works with military amputees in D.C. and volunteers for Senator Alexander part time. I'll send her your claptrap sometime, she'll get a kick out of your ignorance and stupidity.
