I'd like to read what this gentleman has to say and appreciate his signing up and posting.

Well that's fine and dandy, however I find it a bit rude for a brand new FR member to just immediately begin re-posting articles from their own vanity website, without so much as a thank you to Jim Rob for making all of this bandwidth available.

If Mr. Williams wanted to show some manners, he would perhaps make some original, impromptu comments of his own on the various threads, let people get to know him a bit, and if he wants to promote his own website, *viola* - that's what we have taglines for, among other things, do you not agree?

I see your point, but I also don't have a problem of his so quickly posting a full piece he's already written, especially given his experience.

Personally, I don't have time to follow most links Freepers put in their taglines. When an author posts his full article, I can immediately take a measure of him, and if the article makes me curious enough (which in this case it did), I'll look into who the author is.

In respect to original ideas in this piece, veteran Freepers should keep in mind that many potential Freepers who tentatively peek at this site do not have the political savy that old timers have and general pieces such as Mr. William's can help them grasp the basics of our positions. It's like Rush occasionally repeating old news to help new listeners catch up.

And to Mr. Williams, thank you for your service in the Navy during WWII.
