Okay, I'll play the role of minion. The substance of this guy's argument seems to center around his perceived shortcomings of conservative Christians. Yet, Jesus' ministry occured over 2,000 years ago. I suppose he could just as easily rail against Emperor Nero by complaining about the ways of modern Italians, or against Sun Tzu by lambasting those evil Red Chinese.
If he wants to complain about the state of conservative Christianity, he might have some valid points to make. However, his attempt to reach back into time and mold Jesus into his liberal image is pure folly.
Good dissection.
Man, those libs are really pushing the "Jesus was a leftie" angle.
As if people will forget the anti-moral psychos who make up the left.
(I doubt the Gay Pride parades are going to disappear anytime soon...)
How does this author justify the Dems continually siding with the ACLU, People for the American Way, Americans United for Separation of Church and State, the NEA, and other organizations that are continually trying to suppress expressions of Christianity in the public square? Advancing the kingsom should be #1 on the Christian's priority list, and these organizations are diametrically opposed to that. And the Dems side with these groups every time. Author, please explain your justification for that.
Gasp! It's a liberal response to Anne Coulters best seller: GODLESS!
hmmm. Isnt bearing false witness a sin? Doesnt he know he's lying here?
I'm sorry, but PORING out?
As someone on these boards once said, Jesus may not be a Republican, but the Democrats seem to have a lock on Satan.
When are we going to start hearing about the evils of the "religious Left?"
Jesus isn't a Republican - he's a Monarchist. His father is the King of Kings and Lord of Heaven.
The left is guilty of making God into their own image. On issues such as life and liberty, conservatives are more on the side of God than then left's position on abortion and license. On most other political questions, Jesus didn't seem to have an opinion nor care ("Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and unto God the things that are God's" -- assumes that the interests of Caesar are often outside the interests of God.)
