"I was wrong, the remarks were insensitive, and I have learned a lot in the past few weeks," he said Monday. "Anything like this should certainly give rise to some serious self-examination ... and I'm doing that." Translation: I am protecting my retirement and plan to get away from DC and Ramsey the first chance I get!

. This is not a racial thing to say that black people are unusual in GeorgetownThe last time I went through Georgetown, that wasn't exactly true. There is just a whole lot of white people walking around.

...racially insensitive remarkIs it racially sensitive to refer to someone's race in describing them. There was no slur or epithet or insult intended was there?

Isn't this what McKinney should have said?? Good thing this guy didn't hit anybody..

I hope also that prior to delivering the lesson he is writing he watches the Police Academy movies to become more sensitive to the challenges facing the recruits in training.

"Anything like this should certainly give rise to some serious self-examination ... and I'm doing that."With tongue firmly planted in cheek, this officer would fit right in here on Free Republic.

I suppose we can substitute a chromameter reading or RGB value for skin colors.
Of course, "Attention all units, suspect has a skin color of 330000, 70 inches tall, last seen running..." probably won't help when an officer stops and asks witnesses if they'd seen a man with a skin tone of 330000 run by and in which direction.

The whole statement makes no sense. What question is he answering with that statement?

""I would think that at 2 o'clock in the morning on the streets of Georgetown, a group of three people - one of whom is 15 years old, one of whom is a bald chunky fat guy - are going to stand out," said Solberg, referring to the suspects arrested in the case. "They were black. This is not a racial thing to say that black people are unusual in Georgetown. This is a fact of life." "What a circus. If you're black, and it's mentioned, you cry "racial profiling"?
When a white perp is mentioned, no one says a word?
I guess today it's good to be recognized as ANY minority, if it means you GET something for free.....

I spent a few days in the hospital after being assulted by a number of his "unusual people"...

The last time I went through Georgetown, that wasn't exactly true. There is just a whole lot of white people walking around. We wandered through a few years ago, the only blacks we saw were husksters on street corners selling fake LV purses, etc.

It's still unusual for black teenagers to be roving around Georgetown in the wee hours of the morning.
Apparantly the African-American community in DC wants the cops to keep quiet about this ~
~ and I can't figure out a reason for it ~

Just keep an eye on crime reports in the paper. Often you won't see reference to the race of the suspect(s). That is the Orwellian insanity of Polical Correctness.

84 homicides in DC in just the first six months of this year.
Due to the dismal record of the police in solving homicides, there are a lot of murderers who have gotten away clean with killing other people freely walking the streets of DC these days.
