Police on Monday found a decapitated body wrapped in a blanket and a human head stuffed in a plastic bag along a road outside Monterrey. Police patrolling the area found the body, which has not been identified, and two notes to reputed drug lord Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán of the Sinaloa cartel, said Marcelo Garza, director of investigations for Nuevo León.

One note read, "These are the ones who are killing in Laredo and also in Guadalajara under the orders of Efraín, El Beto y El Pipo. They are El Chapo´s people." The second note accused the government of protecting Guzmán and said the killings would stop once the government arrests Arturo Beltrán and Edgar "La Barbie" Díaz Villarreal, suspected drug smugglers of the Sinaloa cartel.

The grisly discovery comes less than 12 hours after federal investigator Verónica Palacios Espinoza was ambushed and gravely wounded while driving through a Monterrey residential area. An unidentified woman riding with her was killed, while brothers Efraín, Tomás and Roberto López de la Cruz of Nuevo Laredo were wounded.

Garza said at least 15 gunmen in three cars fired more than 100 rounds at the investigator´s sports utility vehicle. Palacios and Tomás López de la Cruz were listed in critical condition

Beheadings are only newsworthy if they are in the middle east. Only nice people live in Mexico. We should open the borders completely so they can do the beheadings we wont do.

The way I read this it's "vigilantes" chopping up the suspected drug-smugglers that the Mexican police are afraid of (payroll of). To borrow your overused phrase, they're doing the jobs Mexican Police won't do.

This sounds like what some freepers would end up doing when the border finally devolves into a 200 mile wide war zone.

So many talented people, so many bad movies.

How does it happen?

After someone makes as many stinkin' steamers of bad movies as Chevy Chase, why do some think he has any valued insight on things political? The man's acting talents consist of reading ridiculous lines in a deadpan voice, smirking and falling down.
