I know Buzz Aldrin, if he says he saw one, you can take it to the bank.
The Saturn 5 Bong ???
It's a 1964 and a 1/2 don't forget a D or T code.
That was Gordon Cooper.
This topic has always been barely tolerated hereon . . . if treated that nice.
In the early years, posting such a topic could earn one the outrage of a list of stalwarts that one was a troll trying to bring disrepute to FR just by posting such a topic.
THIS is progress! Rejoice!
There are plenty of folks around who still have that mentality. I think even Jim prefers that the topic be posted and discussed in CHAT.
Of course, when things have been DISCLOSED, OUTTED, such tunes will change. But by then, the die will be cast and probably objective, free flowing discussion will be much more limited as the global government tightens it's levels of control on information exchange.
So, these exercises where we can help one another ponder very difficult to ponder issues, facts, observations, rumors . . . is a rare time, imho. We ought to make the most of it and thoroughly ignore the naysayers.
I think that the day will come when those of us who've braved collecting and pondering over thousands of puzzle pieces will be the only sources of objective, non-coercive, non Machiavellian information on the topic available . . . short of miracle communications on it via Holy Spirit.
Some seem to place a higher priority on either their nondisclosure agreements; their retirement funds or their lives than others.
Generally turns out to be ice, insulation, etc.

Not my reality. Not that of several astonauts on record . . . they were NOT idiots. They could tell the difference between all those things and "SANTA CLAUS"--one of the code words for a UFO craft.
It's sad when I read something implying the extremely well trained astronauts were idiots in observation and/or idiots in relating their observations.
> Not my reality.
Well, let us know when you come to *this* reality. You know, the one based on *Earth.*
Tom Hanks couldn't resist at least one attack on a great person for simply daring to express his belief in God and Jesus Christ.

I agree entirely. Very hideous. I've lost most of whatever respect he earned with Forest Gump.
They did take pics.
There have been stories for decades of such being withheld, air brushed out etc.
Not saying this UFO thing has any credibility, but Neil Armstrong doesn't talk about the mission. He just doesn't talk about it. Always wondered why...

There have been persistent reports that some of the astronauts were furious at their treatment vis a vis such issues, facts, observations, sightings . . . and, to some degree . . . may have felt extrmely used, cheapened, tricked, manipulated wholesale . . . for largely a charade . . . particularly if, as some likely knew or found out--particularly if we had far better craft of our own and had them risk their lives in very inferior equipment for a charade, a disinformation smoke screen. I'd be pretty steamed, too.
Yes. I remember it. And at the time, I considered it super suspicious and likely having to do with such.
IIRC,
Gordon Cooper has been most candid. But even he IN SOME CONTEXTS has waffled and back tracked . . . I think. Don't remember all such details with crystal clarity any more.
Yes, that's a persistent report that I believe.
Alternate possibility . . . it's PART serious disinformation to justify not wasting a lot of money on the charade to that extent.
Hi Quix, interesting thread, eh? As always, when something is discussed on FR, it tends to be more interesting than elsewhere.
I don't believe that statement, at all.
My relative's many statements to the contrary are much more believable, to me.
Aside from the Apollo 11 crew, Mercury astronauts Gordon Cooper, Scott Carpenter, Gemini crews Ed White and James McDivitt, James Lovell and Frank Borman, among other reported seeing unidentified objects in the vicinity of their spacecraft during missions. Other astronauts, during their careers as pilots also reported seeing them.

YUP.

That's long been my read of his personality, too . . . even just observing him in public.
The nasty posts on this thread remind me of the verse about a fool's gabble sounding like the "crackling of thorns under a pot." Having seen a UFO myself, I know I "saw something." What it was, I don't know/can't prove. I do believe there are Nephilim still around trying to confound/dismay us. "Just a few more weary days, and then..."
