Wow I am so proud of Westmorland County. That is where my extended family lives...aunts, uncles, cousins on my father's side!!!!! I have been talking to them but sound so democrat on some stuff. I am trying so hard to get them to see the light.

Except this isn't a classic Republican versus Democrat kinda race. Democrats in that area are pro-lifers. Therefore both candidates are pro-lifers and social conservative types. That leaves the real issues being national security and welfare-state programs. I suspect Murtha is seen as being good enough for the lesser issue of national security and perfect for the the number one issue in the area, welfare-state programs. He's a proven pro-life socialist. IMO that's all he needs to be.
